If you need a quick, fun, and festive treat, these 5-Ingredient Easter Nests will be your new favorite. They’re sweet, chocolatey, just a little crunchy, and the cutest treat ever. The best part? They come together in just 10 minutes with no baking required and only simple ingredients! The kids absolutely LOVE to help make these nests, from mixing everything together to placing the little chocolate eggs on top. Plus, they’re gluten-free and can easily be made dairy-free.

The Love for These Will Be Strong
Life gets a little crazier around the holidays, so I’m a huge fan of simple, quick recipes that still feel special. Plus, I love any excuse to eat chocolate!
- These only use 5 simple ingredients
- Ready in 10 minutes and ZERO baking required
- No raw eggs, so taste testing is encouraged!
- Naturally gluten-free with an easy dairy-free option too
- They may not win nutrition awards, but they will win over everyone at the table
- The BEST part? These are perfect for kids to help make and they love it!
These are the ultimate low-effort, high-reward Easter treat that everyone will love! Whether you’re making them for an Easter celebration, a fun afternoon activity, or just a quick sweet treat, these nests bring a little extra joy (and chocolate!) to the day.

Ingredients You’ll Need:
Chocolate: You can use dairy-free or regular chocolate chips or melting wafers.
Nut butter: I love to use creamy peanut butter in this recipe, but any nut butter works well. The nut butter can easily be left out too.
Candy Eggs: We used to use Cadbury Eggs before dairy allergies hit my husband and oldest daughter. Now, we typically use speckled jelly beans and Peanut MnMs for my youngest and I, we don’t have a dairy allergy. Honestly, any fun candy works well in this recipe.
Oats: We just use gluten-free rolled oats.
Coconut Flakes: We’ve used sweetened and unsweetened coconut flakes. They both taste great, but the sweetened makes the nests even richer.
Easy to use-what-you’ve got: These are any easy and tasty way to use up whatever you’ve got on hand and customize this recipe with nuts, seeds, dried fruit, cereals, etc. They really are that simple!
Steps To Make Easter Nests:

Grab the kids and get them involved! My girl’s have made these since they were toddlers and still LOVE making them. Let kids help shape the nests – it’s messy, fun, and part of the experience! These Easter Nests are a family favorite recipe and a tradition around Easter every year.
With their chocolatey coating, chewy texture, and colorful candy centers, they’re guaranteed to be a hit with both kids and adults. I’m sure your family will love these nests as much as we do.

5-Ingredient Chocolate Easter Nests
Ingredients
- 1 1/4 cup oats gluten-free
- 2 1/4 cup chocolate chips (dairy-free or not)
- 1 1/4 cup coconut flakes shredded
- 1/4 cup peanut butter (or any nut butter)
- 1/2 cup Cadbury eggs (or speckled jelly beans, peanut mnms, etc)
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with wax paper and set aside.
- Melt the chocolate in a microwave safe bowl or over low heat using a double boiler. Stir occasionally until smooth.
- Remove from the heat and add the peanut butter, stirring until combined. Next, add the oats and coconut flakes, mix well.
- Let the mixture cool just enough to handle.
- Once cooled enough, shape the mixture into small nests and make a shallow hole in the middle of the nest. Place a few Cadbury eggs (or whatever candy you're using) in the middle and press just slightly to make them stick to the chocolate nest.
- Let the nests rest on the counter to set or in the fridge.
