If you’ve been searching for the perfect gluten-free brownie, this is the one. These brownies are rich, chewy, and perfectly fudgy in the center with those irresistible crackly tops. They resemble the perfect box of Ghirardelli fudgy brownies, but homemade with simple ingredients. Plus, they can easily be made dairy-free without anyone knowing.
They’re the kind of brownies that make people say, “Wait… these are gluten-free?!”
Whether you’re baking for a family dessert, a party, or just a late-night chocolate craving (like we do more times than not), these brownies deliver perfect results every time.

Why You’ll Love These Brownies
- Ultra fudgy texture instead of dry, crumbly, or cakey
- Perfectly chewy edges with gooey centers
- Naturally gluten-free
- Easy dairy-free option
- Simple pantry ingredients
- Ready in an hour
These brownies are the kind that disappear quickly, so don’t be surprised if you find yourself making a second batch! We have zero self-control in our house when it comes to these brownies. Typically, they last about a day, so if yours are gone just as quickly…I won’t judge at all!
Making the Best Brownies
You have to sprinkle a few extra chocolate chips on top before baking for the ultimate brownies. Also, using a good cacao powder helps create the richest chocolate flavor.
Some mix-ins we love to add:
- white chocolate chips or peanut butter chips
- chopped walnuts, pecans, or sliced almonds
- marshmallows, shredded coconut, crushed pretzels, or crushed potato chips
- chopped candy bars
- dried fruit like cranberries or cherries
- swirl in peanut butter, cream cheese, jam, or marshmallow fluff before baking
- Toppings: sprinkle with flaky sea salt, extra nuts, or chocolate chips.
Pro Tip: Toss dried fruits or candy in a little flour before adding to the batter to prevent them from sinking to the bottom.
Let them cool fully before cutting so they stay fudgy instead of falling apart.

The Perfect Anytime Treat
These chewy, fudgy gluten-free brownies are perfect for birthday parties, potlucks, holidays, or cozy nights at home. They’re simple, reliable, and so delicious that no one will ever guess they’re gluten-free or dairy-free!
Once you make them, I guarantee they’ll become a go-to family favorite brownie recipe you’ll keep coming back to again and again. If you make theses, let me know how your family likes them.
