Maple Candied Pecans
Wow the crowd with these delicious, candied pecans! You can have these yummy nuts out of the pan & ready to eat within 15 minutes. They’ll make the perfect addition to any crisp salad, charcuterie board, snack, granola, or dessert!Gluten-free, Dairy-free, & Refined sugar free!
Ingredients
- 2 cups pecans shelled (I like whole pecans, but any nut works)
- 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
Instructions
- First, lay out parchment or wax paper on the counter or a baking sheet.
- In a heavy skillet, heat the pecans and maple syrup over low-medium heat, stirring continuously. The maple syrup will start bubbling as the extra moisture starts evaporating. Keep stirring for a couple minutes and you’ll see the syrup start to thicken. Then it will start crystalizing & sticking to the nuts. It should take about 5-8 minutes.
- Once the syrup is stuck to the nuts, pour them onto the parchment paper to let cool. Store in an airtight container. Enjoy and try not to eat them all as little snacks. They’re quite irresistible.
Notes
I like to make a triple batch & fill a big mason jar to have plenty on hand for a while.
We love these on top of desserts, salads, charcuterie boards, granola, and more!
